About Us
The information, communications and technology unit (ICT) is part of the UNFPA Regional Centre for Latin America and the Caribbean is the responsible facility for implementing different technologies to support country office in the region in exchange mechanisms that allows to interact with implementing partners in exchange mechanisms to transfer knowledge . The ICT produces technological tools for knowledge sharing and collaborative work, and fosters research and innovation to enhance the value-added and the efficiency of development initiatives and projects.
The ICT provides support and advice to UNFPA Country Offices in LAC, UNFPA regional clusters, UN Agencies' regional offices and other development partners. To respond to their demands, the ICT is equipped with a team of experts in technological platforms for knowledge sharing
